What a difference a year makes!

As we think of all that 2015 held for this ministry, Romans 5: 3-5 comes to mind, “We rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance produces character; and character produces hope…and hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts…” Sufferings. Perseverance. Character. Hope.

Sufferings…ouch…those are the difficult times…wondering if God really knows what He is doing.
Perseverance…ugh… pushing, shoving, and ‘warring’ our way through the obstacles. With a ‘smile’ on our faces, we persevere, even when we are tired and battle weary. OK… so sometimes we just can’t even muster up a smile…sometimes things aren’t so pretty ‘behind the curtain’.
Character…scrape, scrape, scrape…that’s the sound of God scraping away at our hearts…scraping away what isn’t of Him…scraping away the things of this world …so that He can fill us with more of Him…character development…necessary…but very painful.
Hope… ah…yes please…fill us up Lord…to overflowing…with hope that can only come from You…from knowing Your perfect love for us…from knowing who You are and who we are…and Your good and perfect plans for our lives. Help us to hide Your Word and promises in our hearts…so we can run into this year with hearts filled to overflowing…so that You spill out of us wherever we go.

2015 held many new opportunities for us … mission’s trips, weeks of VBS, performing and teaching at international and national conferences, a new website and the launching of Kristofer’s company, website and webstore, along with his new brand line, “Puppedcation.”

So we enter 2016 with a fresh hope for a new year of ministry opportunities.
Opportunities to show God’s love. Opportunities to speak His truth. Opportunities to show that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance produces character; and character produces hope…and hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts.
May 2016 find us pouring God’s love out into you.

Hope-filled,
Kendra
